Note that some databases are index-only (meaning that they do not provide access to the text of the listed research). I have indicated below whether this is the case, along with whether a database is open-access (free).

  • Database from the Universitätsbibliothek Tübingen in Germany
  • Free bibliographic index of over 600 theological periodicals, Festschriften and congress publications.
  • Not full-text

JSTOR

  • Digital library of academic journals, books, and other sources
  • Normally accessed through a university library (some public libraries also provide access)
  • Create a free account on their website to be able to read up to 100 articles per month
  • Partially full-text
